McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris hinted yesterday that there is something big on the horizon for him at some point today.
Coming off of a disappointing Russian Grand Prix at Sochi Autodrom which could have easily resulted in his first career Formula 1 victory this past Sunday, McLaren’s Lando Norris seems to be looking forward, and not just to the next race on the schedule, which isn’t for another week and a half.
Norris posted a somewhat cryptic message on his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon, seemingly hinting at something big on the horizon for him on Wednesday.
Of course, many of the replies to his tweet urged him to say more, but it’s pretty much implied that he would not have teased his fans the way he did if he ever had the intention of sharing anything more before releasing whatever he is currently holding back.
Through 15 of 22 races on the 2021 calendar, Norris is having a career year in Formula 1. He sits in fourth place in the driver standings and would be higher had Sunday’s Russian Grand Prix not played out the way it did with the rain and him not pitting for intermediate tires while leading late.
Norris finished in a career-high second place in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza and has three other podium finishes this season. His pole position in Sochi was the first of his career and McLaren’s first since the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.
The next race on the Formula 1 schedule is the Turkish Grand Prix, which is set to be broadcast live on ESPN from Intercity Istanbul Park beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, October 10. Be sure to start your free trial of FuboTV if you have not already done so!
