While most of the 36 NASCAR Cup Series charters have homes for the 2022 season, there is still some uncertainty regarding a few.

The charter market was somewhat dramatic throughout the final few months of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series season, and there is still some uncertainty as we near the one-month mark of the offseason.

Quite a few charters have changed hands for next year, with 23XI Racing purchasing one from StarCom Racing, Trackhouse Racing Team acquiring the entire Chip Ganassi Racing operation, and Kaulig Racing purchasing two from Spire Motorsports.

However, the charter movement might not be done quite yet. Take a look at three more charters that may be on the move for the 2022 season.

Charters that could be on the move: No. 1 – Rick Ware Racing #52

Rick Ware Racing have stated that they are open to selling or leasing out at least one of their charters for the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season.

Given the fact that multiple teams (two to be specific, the new GMS Racing team and Spire Motorsports) are looking to acquire a charter for next year, the charter that has been used to run the #52 team at Rick Ware’s organization could well be on the move. Whether it would be sold or leased out remains to be seen.

Rick Ware Racing also subtly hinted that the #52 team wouldn’t be a part of their organization for the 2022 season.
