M&M’s is giving NASCAR Cup Series fans a unique opportunity during their final season as the primary sponsor of Kyle Busch’s #18 Toyota.

Over the offseason, M&M Mars announced that they will stop sponsoring two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch after the 2022 season, ending a run of more than three decades in racing.

But they plan to make the most of their final season as the sponsor of the #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, and that starts now.

M&M’s announced today that they will be using their final season to honor and celebrate Mars associates and the NASCAR community, and they are set to do so by giving associates and fans the opportunity to be featured on Busch’s #18 Toyota later in the year.

Beginning this weekend in the season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, fans will be able to submit photos on Twitter, tagging @mmschocolate and using the hashtags #MMSFANCAR and #Sweepstakes. For more information and to check out the rules, visit M&M’s on Twitter.

Several of these photos will be compiled into a mosaic that will make up a paint scheme on Busch’s #18 Toyota. The car will look similar to his usual M&M’s car (see below for his Daytona 500 scheme) but it will be made up of tons of fan photos as opposed to being a block color.

The mosaic paint scheme is set to be run during a playoff race (location TBD).

All fans who participate by submitting pictures will also be entered into a monthly drawing to win an M&M’s Racing diecast car or mini helmet signed by Busch. The sweepstakes will remain open throughout nearly the entire regular season, with the final day to submit being Thursday, August 25, two days prior to the regular season finale at Daytona International Speedway.

Here is what Anton Vincent, President of Mars Wrigley North America, had to say about this promotion.

"“Mars has been connected to many incredible moments in NASCAR history, which is why the last 32 years have been exceptionally special to us. As we continue to evolve our M&M’S brand and live our purpose of creating a world where everyone feels they belong, we are honored to be able to use our final season to bring happiness and more smiles to our Mars Associates and fans, celebrating those who truly make this sport so incredible. We are thrilled to bring the fan-inspired legacy car to life later this season along with Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing.”"

Busch added the following.

"“I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have M&M’s as a partner for the last 15 years and my friendship with the Mars family will be something that will last a lifetime. We’ve created so many lasting memories, including two NASCAR Cup Series Championships. I am grateful that we are using this year to bring together the fans who have made this partnership so meaningful. I can’t wait to see how this car turns out.”"
