Keep tabs on Saturday afternoon’s qualifying session for Sunday afternoon’s IndyCar race at Barber Motorsports Park, the fourth race of the 2022 season.

Following the third consecutive three-week break of the young 2022 season, IndyCar is back in action this weekend at Barber Motorsports Park for the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.

After this race, the fourth of 17 on the 2022 schedule, there are no more three-week breaks until the final one of the season from mid-June to early July.

Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou enters this 90-lap race around the 17-turn, 2.38-mile (3.83-kilometer) Barber Motorsports Park natural terrain road course in Birmingham, Alabama as the reigning winner, having won the 2021 season opener at the track en route to securing his maiden title in his first year driving the #10 Honda.

The 26-car field, the largest field at Barber Motorsports Park since 2013 and tied for the largest at the venue since the track began hosting IndyCar races in 2010, is split up into two 13-car groups for the first round, based on practice results.

The fastest six drivers in each group advance to the second round, and the fastest six drivers in the second round advance to the Firestone Fast Six. These six drivers then battle for the pole position.

Who will take the pole position for Sunday’s race? Follow along with our live qualifying updates.
