Top 10 drivers on the NASCAR wins list after Kevin Harvick’s win

After winning at Richmond Raceway on Sunday afternoon, Kevin Harvick is now in a ninth place tie on the all-time NASCAR Cup Series wins list.

A week and a half ago, Kevin Harvick was still seeking his first NASCAR Cup Series win in nearly two years. But in a span of just eight days, he found victory lane twice, winning at Michigan International Speedway and then at Richmond Raceway.

Harvick won a career-high nine races in the 2020 season, bringing his career win total from 49 to 58 and placing himself ninth on the all-time Cup Series wins list.

But in 2021, he went winless for the first time since 2009, and a two-win season from Kyle Busch allowed him to jump Harvick and move into ninth with 59 wins.

Busch earned his 60th win back in mid-April in the Easter dirt race at Bristol Motor Speedway. But now he and Harvick are tied once more, just as they were following the former’s May 2021 win at Kansas Speedway.

There are just eight drivers who have won more Cup Series races than the pair, none of whom are active drivers.

Next up on the list for Harvick and/or Busch to potentially pass? Dale Earnhardt.

Harvick is under contract to drive the #4 Ford for Stewart-Haas Racing through the 2023 season, while Busch doesn’t yet have a deal to return for what would be a 16th season behind the wheel of the #18 Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing next year and is actively exploring other options. Will either move into the top eight before retirement?

Aside from Harvick and Busch, there are three active drivers in the top 25 on the all-time wins list. Denny Hamlin is tied for 16th with 48, Brad Keselowski is 24th with 35, and Kurt Busch is 25th with 34.
