NASCAR: 5 drivers who could replace Tyler Reddick

Possible Tyler Reddick replacements: No. 3 – Austin Hill
Well before the Kyle Busch to Richard Childress Racing talk truly became serious, Austin Hill actually got a chance to drive a third Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet at the Cup level.
Hill made his NASCAR Cup Series debut at Michigan International Speedway back in early August and finished in a respectable 18th place behind the wheel of the non-chartered #33 Chevrolet.
The 28-year-old Winston, Georgia native is currently in his rookie Xfinity Series season with Richard Childress Racing, and he is competing for a championship after qualifying for the playoffs with a two-win regular season which saw him secure a total of 10 top five finishes behind the wheel of the #21 Chevrolet. He has since advanced to the round of 8.
The fact that Hill got the chance to make his Cup Series debut when he did was believed to be a sign of things to come when it happened, and that hasn’t necessarily changed, despite the blockbuster signing of Busch.
While Hill isn’t in line to join the team next year, the idea that they are open to expanding to three full-time entries could give him the chance to do that in 2024, when Tyler Reddick is guaranteed to no longer be a part of the organization.
Another season of Xfinity Series experience could be just what he needs to ensure he is ready for a promotion to the sport’s highest level. He has won multiple races each year since 2019 (Truck Series from 2019 to 2021), and there is little reason to believe he won’t continue to achieve exceptional results.
