Possible Daytona 500 additions: No. 5 – 3F Racing

New NASCAR Cup Series teams that plan to make their debut don’t always end up doing so, as we saw multiple times during the 2022 season with Team Stange Racing and then later in the season with 3F Racing.

The latter had planned to make their Cup Series debut in the playoff race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval to become the first German team to compete at NASCAR’s top level, but that debut never materialized and the No. 30 Chevrolet did not make an appearance at all during the 2022 season.

Team owner Dennis Hirtz did provide an update, stating that the now plan to make their debut in 2023 instead, but whether that happens remains to be seen. Their plan, for now, is to compete in 10 races throughout the 36-race season and then become a full-time Cup Series team in 2024.

Other than the fact that their car number would be No. 30 and their manufacturer would be Chevrolet, nothing has been announced about this team’s potential Cup Series arrival.
