NASCAR: 5 possible additions to the Cup Series schedule

Potential new tracks are often on the minds of NASCAR fans, and with NASCAR making a push to add more events to the schedule, there are plenty of options.

Every year, the NASCAR schedule sees some sort of change. Some years, there may be a whole new race track, while other years, it may be nothing more than a date swap. But in the past couple of years, the schedule has seen the arrival of many new venues, and NASCAR has made it clear that they aren’t stopping anytime soon.

Since 2021, the Cup Series schedule has seen the addition of Circuit of the Americas, Nashville Superspeedway, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, and the Bristol Motor Speedway dirt track. Road America was added in 2021 but dropped after 2022.

Both North Wilkesboro Speedway and the Chicago Street Course joined the schedule this year. But even with all of these additions, there are still many other venues that are either vying for a Cup date of their own or fit the mold of what NASCAR is looking to add to the schedule in the future.

Whether it’s a short track, a street race, or something else entirely, the potential options for NASCAR’s future expansion are aplenty.
