Possible Logan Sargeant replacements: No. 3 – Ayumu Iwasa
Ayumu Iwasa has been one of the best in Formula 2. Coming off of a fifth place finish and a multi-win season in 2022, he finds himself in third with three victories. He may feel that it is time to make the move up the ranks and into Formula 1.
The chances of the Red Bull junior driver getting a full-time seat on a Red Bull team in 2024 are pretty unlikely. The competitiveness of the team has put him behind Daniel Ricciardo and Liam Lawson as a potential AlphaTauri candidate. As a result, it may be in his best interests to look elsewhere for a spot at the top level.
Williams could be a potential suitor for the Japanese driver, but once again, there is some potential risk associated with signing a rookie, given how things have gone for the team over the last few seasons. But it still may be more beneficial for them than keeping Logan Sargeant for another season.

With Williams having now placed full focus on their 2024 car, Iwasa could be the driver they need to make a charge into the midfield battle going forward. Being able to compete with Alpine and McLaren is definitely on the minds of those within the team, and Iwasa very well could be the one to be a part of that push forward.
