Sunday afternoon’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway is the second of four not on NBC’s broadcast schedule during the playoffs.

USA Network opened up the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs last Sunday evening at Darlington Raceway, and its coverage is set to continue this Sunday afternoon at Kansas Speedway.

Sunday’s 267-lap Hollywood Casino 400 around the four-turn, 1.5-mile (2.414-kilometer) oval in Kansas City, Kansas is the second of four consecutive races to be shown on USA Network as opposed to NBC to open up the 10-race postseason. The final six playoff races are all set to be shown live on NBC.

NBC took over from Fox 16 races into the 26-race regular season. Four of the final 10 regular season races were shown live on NBC while the other six were shown live on USA Network.

USA Network was added to NBC’s portion of the NASCAR Cup Series broadcast schedule last year.

The NBCUniversal-owned network became new alternative broadcast channel during NBC’s portion of the broadcast schedule in 2022 as a result of the fact that NBC Sports Network shut down at the end of 2021.

The final two races on USA Network’s schedule for 2023 include the round of 16 finale at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, September 16 and the round of 12 opener at Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 24.

23XI Racing’s Bubba Wallace is the reigning winner of the Kansas Speedway playoff race, having won it last September, despite the fact that he was not a playoff driver.

Wallace ironically won a playoff race in both 2021 and 2022, despite not being a playoff driver in either season. Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin is the most recent winner at Kansas Speedway, having won at the track back in May.

FanDuel Sportsbook, which is offering fans a guaranteed $200 just for betting $5, lists Hamlin as the favorite to win this Sunday afternoon’s race.
