Stewart-Haas Racing will be shutting down at the end of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Where will their charters end up?

3. 23XI Racing

23XI Racing entered the NASCAR Cup Series the same season as Trackhouse Racing Team, and they have been on almost the exact same trajectory, running one car in 2021 before expanding to two cars in 2022.

Now they appear set to follow a similar trajectory in 2025, with an expansion to three cars reportedly on the table. Team co-owner Denny Hamlin has not been shy about his willingness to invest in his team, and the team's new "all-in" headquarters, Airspeed, is a sign of that continued growth.

23XI Racing have also run a third car on select occasions over the last two seasons, and now the Hamlin and Michael Jordan-owned team appear set on making that car a full-time entry.

Given how competitive the team have been, specifically since expanding to two cars two seasons ago, an expansion confirmation for 2025 would certainly heat up silly season, as that third entry would be arguably the top opening in the series.

Who would the team sign to compete alongside Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick?

As far at Stewart-Haas Racing's fourth charter is concerned, that is what appears to be the true wild card. There are several other teams that have been loosely connected to expansion, including Wood Brothers Racing, RFK Racing, Richard Childress Racing, Legacy Motor Club, and even the JR Motorsports Xfinity Series team, which does not currently compete in the Cup Series.
