Janet Guthrie

Guthrie set the bar for women in the world of Motorsports. Guthrie was the first woman to qualify and compete in both the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500. Guthrie raced to a top-10 finish in the 1978 Indy 500, she also has five career top-10 finishes in the NASCAR Cup Series. Guthrie’s highest Cup Series finish was a 6th-place finish at Bristol in 1977.

Doug Coby

Coby is a two-time Whelen Modified Tour champion having won titles in 2012 and 2014. Coby is not only a multiple-time champion on the Whelen Modified Tour but he won his titles on two different teams which further proves his driving prowess.

Coby will be looking for his third title when the 2015 season begins in April. Coby’s success in the Whelen Modified Tour had him up for consideration to make the list.
