Inappropriate Timing

When is the best time to get an autograph from your favorite Sprint Cup driver?

While most fans will probably say before or after a race, some fans can’t wait that long and just decide to take matters into their own hands. Such was the case with one fan, who thought it would be a good idea to jump a chain-link fence during a red flag at Watkins Glen and try to get an autograph from Matt Kenseth.

The fan was ultimately refused the autograph by a stunned Kenseth, but did get to stick his head into the passenger side of the car when he asked the question. The fan was then scared away by a security truck and later arrested by security. Sure, he may have had to make bail and explain to his family what the heck he was thinking, but at least he’ll always be able to tell the story about how he ran onto the track at Watkins Glen and asked his favorite driver for an autograph.

How many other people can match that story?
