NASCAR is headed to the desert for the final race of the Round of 8. Here are four predictions for the Can-Am 500 at Phoenix.

There are only two spots left to fill for the final four drivers to battle at Homestead for the 2016 Sprint Cup Championship.

Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards will be moving on to Homestead and if one of the Chase drivers were to win the race this Sunday, only one other Chase driver would be moving on to the final round because of points.

When it comes to racing at Phoenix, the one driver that should come to everyone’s mind is Kevin Harvick. Harvick is fantastic at this track and will be going for this ninth win on Sunday to give himself another chance at winning a championship.

Will Harvick be able to earn another clutch win in this year’s Chase on Sunday? Or will another driver play spoiler to his recent success at Phoenix?

during the spring race at Phoenix tires ended up being a major issue. There were five different cautions which all came from tire issues and this track has been known to be a major problem for tires. How much will tires play a role into the race on Sunday? Will drivers focus more on speed or more on making sure they don’t see their day end with a blown tire?

Besides for tire maintenance, pit road could play a huge role at Phoenix. Pit road is a little tight at this track, so pit selection will be huge. Will we see Chase teams crack under the pressure and make huge mistakes in the pits? Or will the winner of this race end up in front because of a fast pit stop where they choose to take two tires instead of four?

A lot is going to happen this Sunday at Phoenix and every aspect of this race is going to impact who moves on to the final round of the Chase and who doesn’t.

Before we find out who the final four Chase drivers will be though, here are four predictions for the Can-Am 500 at Phoenix.
