Kyle Busch is one for one in the Xfinity Series to start 2017, winning the Rinnai 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday afternoon.

The series with the tagline “Names Are Made Here” did not add a new name to their list of winners on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta. Kyle Busch, who has dominated the Xfinity Series in recent years, one in his first start of 2017 in the #18 Toyota, holding off a handful of Cup Series regulars in the Rinnai 250 at Atlanta.

Despite NASCAR instituting a new policy limiting the number of races that Cup drivers can race in lower divisions, the big boys of the premier series controlled the race from the outset. Kyle Busch won the pole for the 163-lap show, but Brad Keselowski was the man who led the field through the first 40-lap stage. Kevin Harvick then took to the point in Stage 2, before Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch led the field toward the finish.

Not all the Cup drivers found success on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta, however. Denny Hamlin had two tire failures that relegated him to a lap down finish. Meanwhile, Ty Dillon spun early and made contact with Blake Koch that would leave him playing catch-up for the rest of the race.
