Remember when Busch won a race this season? Yeah that did actually happen and it should be enough to get him into the chase. However, if Busch keeps finishing outside of the top-30 he might not be going to the chase this season. Busch currently finds himself sitting 27th in the points. Although he is only a handful of points ahead of the 29th position, he does have a 52 point cushion between him and the 31st position. Keep in mind that if he finishes 31st or worse in the points he will not make the chase regardless of how many races he wins this season. The likelihood of Busch finishing outside of the top-30 might be slim but it is something that is going to keep being talked about until he turns his fortune on the track around.
