HOT – Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Winning at Pocono was something that had eluded Dale Earnhardt Jr. for his entire Sprint Cup Series career, until this past weekend. Earnhardt’s victory in the Pocono 400 was his second of the year and vaulted him to the top of the chase seeding. 2014 has been the greatest season in his career. Although he may not reach the win total of some of his previous seasons, Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 88 team have finally figured out how to be consistent. In fact, they actually figured that out in 2012 but now they are seeing the wins come as a result of it. Some will say that Earnhardt Jr. didn’t deserve the win because of what happened with Keselowski. To those people I say that by putting himself into the second position; he earned the right to reap the rewards should the leader falter. His two wins tie him with Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Joey Logano.
