HOT – Joey Logano

Saturday night at Bristol Joey Logano won for the third time in 2014. The victory pushed him into a tie for the most wins of 2014 and thus the top seed of the chase. With only two races left before the start of the chase another win could secure the top seed for Logano. The win Saturday night was big for another reason as well. Logano was dominant early in the season winning twice in the first 11 races of the season. Since his last win Logano has been in a bit of a slump and as a result some critics began to get down on Logano and his chances to contend for a championship. In the 11 races following Logano’s second win he only managed one top-five finish. Logano has since turned up the heat as he has finished 6th or better in his last five races including his win at Bristol. Logano and the No. 22 team are getting hot at the right time and that bodes well for them come chase time.
