NOT – Kyle Busch

The good news for Kyle Busch and his fans is that he is going to be in the 2014 chase. The bad news for Busch and company is that he is mired in a horrible slump. Busch finished 36th at Bristol on Saturday night. A 36th place finish might seem to be pretty bad to most but for Busch and the No. 18 team it was his best finish in the last four races. Prior to Bristol Busch had finishes of 42nd, 40th and 39th. While some of these poor finishes are not the fault of Busch it doesn’t change the fact that he and his team appear to be in some trouble. Busch’s 36th place finish at Bristol was highlighted by his Crew Chief calling him out over the radio and telling him to take his “whiney ass to the bus.” Reports have suggested that the two have since patched things up but it’s safe to say that the No. 18 team may not all be on the same page. Busch has all the talent in the world and when things are going right he should be a contender to win a championship. Hopefully Busch and company can sets things right in the final two races before the chase begins.
