Three races remain in the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season and the newly-formatted Chase for the Sprint Cup, counting Sunday’s AAA Texas 500 at Texas Motor Speedway near Fort Worth.
With already-eliminated Chase driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. winning last weekend at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway, the remaining eight Chasers are winless heading into the final two races of the Eliminator round.
Kevin Harvick, one of the remaining Chase drivers, will make his 500th-career Sprint Cup Series start on Sunday. He’s a three-time winner for the season, so far. He has three-career top-fives and 11 top-10s at TMS.
Harvick and Keselowski are the only two of the eight remaining Chasers without career Sprint Cup victories at Texas. Meanwhile, Carl Edwards leads the way with three trips to victory lane at TMS.
