The Worst Week Ever – Tony Stewart

It has gotten to the point where it’s becoming hard to watch Tony Stewart race. The week was off to a nice start for Stewart as he had good speed in practice and he qualified in the top-12. Stewart fans have read this story before though and true to the previous editions, once the green flag dropped Stewart struggled.

Early on in the race Stewart managed to hover around the top-10. As the race progressed it was then the top-15 and then the top-20. Over the final 100 or so laps Stewart would drive close to the top-15, have to pit and always restart in 20th or worse. As more cars got back onto the lead lap late in the race Stewart continued to fall further back and in the end he finished the race in 24th.

The 24th-place finish marked the sixth time in seven races that Stewart has finished 20th or worse. I believe that Stewart has more in the tank but each week it’s getting more difficult to feel that way.
