Worse Week – Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards

Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards both had decent cars this past week in Kansas. The two drivers also showed decent speed throughout the weekend an were expected to run somewhere around the top-10.

Unfortunately, both drivers ran into troubles and had disappointing finishes.

Hamlin’s troubles involved contact, race damage and a finish outside of the top-40. Hamlin easily had himself a top-car Saturday night and he might have been able to tweak it and turn it into a top-five machine. Edwards had some pit issues which resulted in him falling towards the back of the pack. Edwards would end up coming home in the 20th position which is better than it could have been but not what Edwards and the No. 19 team were looking for.

It seems like every week Edwards takes a promising car to the track only to find a new way to not finish inside of the top-10.
