“What is NBCSN?”

Before the race even began Adam was confused as to what NBSSN was.

I explained to him that it’s a sister company of NBC and I quickly ran down the agreement between NASCAR and NBC. Next I explained how NASCAR splits time between Fox and NBC and all of that good stuff.

"So, what you’re saying is that NBC bought NASCAR for 10 years and then put it on a station that nobody has ever heard of? Isn’t that like getting engaged and then telling your fiancé that she can’t wear the ring? Why pay for the sport and then hide it?"

Touché Adam.

This is something that NASCAR fans have been struggling with for a few weeks now. Obviously there will be times when NBC will need to shift NASCAR to NBCSN but to do so with a premiere event like the Brickyard 400 is mind boggling. The second race at Talladega is also on NBCSN which is equally as confusing.

It’s almost like NBC made the deal and then regretted it almost immediately and this was their solution to the problem.
