It has taken 26 races but the 2015 NASCAR Chase is finally here.
While the final race before the Chase at Richmond might have been a dud, the action leading up to the Chase certainly was not. With the 2015 version of the NASCAR playoffs set to begin next weekend, 16 drivers currently have ideas of a championship filling their minds.
In theory every driver in the Chase is on fairly equal footing. Sure, those entering the Chase with wins will have some bonus points in their pockets but for the most part everyone has an equal shot of getting out of the first round. Then of course once you advance in the Chase bonus points mean nothing and you’re 100 percent on equal footing with the rest of the field.
Although all 16 drivers in the Chase believe they can win a title, there are obviously going to be some that are favored more than others. For every driver in the Chase there is another driver not in that would give a lot to switch positions.
With that in mind, every driver in the Chase deserves some respect for getting there. While there are some more favored than others, every driver will enter the Chase with reasons as to why they could win a title and reasons as to why they could not.
Here is a look at why every driver in the Chase could win a championship this season and why every driver in the Chase could not.
