NASCAR: The Five Worst Wrecks Of 2015
No. 4 – Ben Kennedy (Kentucky)
For a couple of weeks in a row it seemed as though NASCAR had a theme of their cars (or trucks in this case) getting into the catchfence. For Ben Kennedy this was a wreck that he was lucky to walk away from.
Kennedy was racing on the inside with two trucks on the outside of him when he got turned across the front of those two trucks. The second of those two trucks helped him get into the catchfence and from there all Kennedy could do was hang on.
A couple of great things did happen in this wreck. The first was that the catchfence held together and kept the truck on the track. The second was that once the truck came to a stop, Kennedy immediately radioed that he was okay. Equipment doing its job and drivers not getting hurt are good things to see after wrecks like this one.
