FS1 Announces Huge NASCAR Marathon On Christmas Day

FS1 is bringing NASCAR fans some Christmas cheer this year with a NASCAR marathon on Christmas Day.

Santa isn’t the only one bringing Christmas cheer to all the good little NASCAR fans this year!

Grab some beer, do some barbecuing and drop the kids of at Grandma’s, (Unless she’s a NASCAR fan too!) because Fox Sports one will be airing a 17 hour marathon of NASCAR programming on Christmas morning. It all starts at 6 AM Christmas morning with a special edition of NASCAR Race Hub and will end with a replay of the 2015 Daytona 500.

If you’re one of those fans that remember and miss the good old days of NASCAR, FS1  has you covered with a hour long documentary of the 1979 Daytona 500 at 7pm and a documentary entitled,” One Hot Night”: The 1992 All Star Race., at 10am Christmas morning. There will also be an hour long special about the 1979 Daytona 500 called, “The Perfect Storm: The 1979 Daytona 500.” At 6:30 pm.

There are also quite a few specials as well, including “Masters of the Clock: The Legend of Martinsville,” and, “Being Stewart-Hass Racing.” While many of the documentaries playing on Fox Sports One on Christmas morning have been aired before, it should still be a welcomed distraction for racing fans that are already bored with the off-season.

With that being said, it’s nice that Fox Sports One and NASCAR have organized a little marathon for NASCAR fans needing some cheer, but sadly it doesn’t really give fans any new content to enjoy on Christmas morning. Sure, The Perfect Storm documentary about the 1979 Daytona 500 will be a fun watch during family time, but why can’t NASCAR and Fox Sports One organize new documentaries and have more off-season news shows?

Doing so would not only hold fans over until the next season starts, but it may also give new fans a chance to see some of the races, moments and personalities that make our sport so amazing to watch. It would also give longtime fans a reason to look forward to the off-season and let them relive some of their favorite memories of seasons past as well!
