Look for one of the fiercest Rookie of the Year battles in Cup Series history in 2016. Each rookie driver and his team have to maintain realistic goals for the upcoming season. Outlined here is the blueprint for each driver to succeed.

The 2016 Sprint Cup Series will feature one of the finest rookie classes in recent memory. 2016 can be seen as a transition year in NASCAR, as the legend Jeff Gordon has retired and been replaced by Chase Elliott in the No. 24 car, and Tony Stewart is entering his final season on the premier circuit.

The Wood Brothers are also returning to a full-time schedule which pleases everyone in the NASCAR world. The man behind the wheel of the famous red-and-blue No. 21 Ford will be Ryan Blaney. Brian Scott has joined Richard Petty Motorsports to drive the new No. 44 car on the top circuit. We also will be hearing plenty of rookies Chris Buescher (No. 34 Ford) and Jeffrey Earnhardt (No. 32 Ford) throughout the 2016 Sprint Cup Series season.

Each team has its own blueprint for realistic success this season. The battle for the Rookie of the Year Award will be very competitive in 2016, with at least three teams having a legitimate chance for to win the award. I have outlined the path to success for each of these rookie drivers in 2016.
