Kevin Harvick has always raced well at Phoenix. He swept the track back in 2006 and had many other great finishes leading up to 2012, when he simply began to dominate racing in Arizona.

Since the 2012 season began, Harvick has won five out of eight races, including four straight from fall 2013 to spring 2015. Of the three races he didn’t win during the stretch, Harvick finished 13th one time and second two times. He hasn’t just been escaping with wins at PIR either, he has been owning them. Out of his five most recent wins, he’s led a total of 797 laps.

Harvick has had another hot start in 2016, beginning the season with three finishes inside the top-7. He has competed for the win in every race and had a great chance to win at Atlanta before falling back in the overtime finish.

Phoenix is arguably his best track to race at, since roughly a fourth of his wins have come at PIR. He came close to extending his win streak to five in last season’s Chase race but rain ended his chances, leading to a second-place finish behind Dale Earnhardt Jr.

There’s simply no denying Kevin Harvick whenever the Cup Series heads to Phoenix.
