For NASCAR fans the Easter weekend off has come to soon but for some drivers a break from the track might be just what they’re looking for.
NASCAR has one of the longest seasons in sports as well as one of the shortest off-seasons. As a result the various weekends off during the season can at times be a welcomed sight for drivers, although they are usually a frustration for fans.
Through the first five races of the 2016 NASCAR season there has been plenty of action on the track. NASCAR fans have been witness to two of the closest finishes in NASCAR history as well as some of the best on-track racing that NASCAR has provided us with in years. It’s for these reasons and others that NASCAR fans as a whole might not be excited to already have a weekend off.
However, not all of the drivers might feel the same way. In fact, the week off might be good for these five drivers even though the reasoning might not be the same for each.
