Kyle Larson – Xfinity Series (2013)

From first to worst. That’s the indignity Regan Smith had to suffer after being spun out of the lead by Brad Keselowski during the final lap of the 2013 Xfinity race at Daytona. The spin caused a huge chain reaction that ultimately resulted in many front-runners being taken out of the race and Kyle Larson being catapulted into the catch fence that is designed to keep drivers on the race track.

Not only was Larson’s car practically destroyed after the brief contact with the catch fence, loose parts from his destroyed race car made it over the fence and injured several fans as well. In the end, everyone was thankfully able to walk away from the last lap incident and Tony Stewart came out the surprise winner of the race, but it was still a shock to see so much chaos on the last lap of a race.
