No. 9 – Clint Bowyer

Clint Bowyer has won in the NASCAR Chase on five different occasions, I am willing to bet that most NASCAR fans did not know that. Those five wins tie him with the likes of Joey Logano who many think is a dark horse to win the title this season.

2012 was almost the year for Clint Bowyer when he won three races and finished 2nd in the final Chase standings. Since 2012 he has only finished inside of the top-10 once, and 2016 looks like it will be the worst point’s finish of his NASCAR career.

While the right now is not looking good, the future is for Bowyer who will jump to Stewart-Haas Racing in 2017. The move to SHR should make Bowyer a favorite to make the Chase and contend for some more wins although five wins in his Chase career is pretty good.
