After rain nearly ruined the weekend, NASCAR took to Bristol for the Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race. Take a look at a few winners and losers from Sunday.

The Bristol night race usually serves as one of NASCAR’s premier events during the season, but racing under the lights just wasn’t meant to be this year.

After rain delayed the start of the race, the Cup Series cars ran 48 laps before NASCAR eventually postponed the event until Sunday afternoon. Once all the storms were able to move through, everything picked up where it left off and the Bass Pro Shops NRA “Night” Race at Bristol began.

It was an action-packed Sunday as contenders like Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Kurt Busch, Brad Keselowski and Matt Kenseth were all taken out due to accidents.

One notable bit of news was Chris Buescher’s top-5 finish, which got him to the top-30 in points, ultimately clinching his spot in the Chase.

The race to make it above the cut line took some interesting twists and turns as drivers like Ryan Newman and Kyle Larson were involved in wrecks while drivers like Jamie McMurray and Trevor Bayne earned solid finishes.

In the end, Kevin Harvick came out on top and won his second race of the season.

Check out a few winners and losers from Sunday’s race.
