The return of throwback weekend at Darlington brought back memories for fans and members of NASCAR. With throwback paint schemes, outfits and commentators, the weekend proved to be another big success.

In the process, we got to see an amazing race as the action at Darlington went into the night with drama down to the very end.

It was a dominant night for Kevin Harvick, as he led 214 laps, but pit road mistakes cost him the win. We saw plenty of leaders as Brad Keselowski, Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin left their mark on the race, but in the end, it was Martin Truex Jr. who ended up earning his second victory of 2016.

The race for the Chase almost got a lot tighter as Ryan Newman was able to lead nine laps late, but he ended up finishing eighth, leaving him just seven points behind Jamie McMurray, who will hold the 16th and final Chase spot heading into Richmond next weekend.

Let’s dive in a little deeper and take a look at a few winners and losers from Sunday’s race.
