Which Drivers Stand To Gain or Lose the Most at the Indy 500?

Lose – Sebastien Bourdais
Sebastien Bourdais was the leader of the championship standings through each of the first three races of the season. However, both he and his Dale Coyne Racing team were well aware that that lead would probably not last, as this team understood that they were likely to be no match for some of the others teams once the series visited the superspeedways.
After getting caught up in a first-lap wreck at Phoenix, Bourdais dropped down to 4th in the standings.
With the first superspeedway race coming up in the Indy 500, and with it offering so many championship points both in qualifying and in the race itself, Bourdais stands to lose a lot of ground in the championship this month.
While he has finished as high as 7th in the Indy 500, he has just two career finishes in the top 10 in six attempts. He is simply not a great superspeedway driver, and as such, it will be really tough for him to exit the month of May in a better position than the one he came in at.
