Indianapolis 500: Saturday Qualifying Results

The 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series season is in its sixth race with the Indianapolis 500. Here are the qualification results after the first of two days of qualifying.
The top 9 drivers from today will qualify again tomorrow for a chance to start on pole for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500. Everyone else will qualify in an attempt to start as high as 10th place in the race next Sunday, May 28th.
Note: (R) denotes an Indianapolis 500 rookie. Speeds are 4-lap average speeds.
