As America celebrates their pride and country on Independence Day, the motorsports world rang in the 4th of July with lots of red, white and blue.

America was founded on the backs of men and women who sacrificed their lives for the freedoms that many so cherish. On the 4th of July, people all across the United States celebrate the country’s birthday in true red, white, and blue fashion. And the motorsports world is no exception to this.

Racing and Independence Day have gone hand in hand for some time now. NASCAR is most often paired with the holiday, with races for the Xfinity Series and Cup Series frequently falling on July 4th. But they are not alone in racing on the holiday weekend, as IMSA often hosts their third endurance race of the year, the Six Hours of The Glen, around the holiday.

Today, many drivers, teams, tracks, and fans turned to social media to celebrate America and honor Independence Day. Here is just a sampling of those posts.
