Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Since Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced 2017 would be the final year he would race full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, many fans have speculated as to which races in the NASCAR Xfinity Series he will race in 2018.

Earnhardt Jr. has made it no secret he will run a handful of races for his JR Motorsports team in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. But what about a truck race? What about Eldora?

JR Motorsports fielded a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team in 2015 for 15 races with various drivers and in 2016 for Cole Custer but decided to close down that shop for the 2017 season.

JR Motorsports would more than likely have the ability to piece together one ride for Earnhardt Jr. if he wanted to get behind the wheel at Eldora.

Eldora already has great attendance for a small dirt oval in the midwest, but with Earnhardt Jr.’s name on the entry list, it would be almost certain to see a bump in the television ratings as well.

The only thing that would make an Earnhardt Jr. drive at Eldora even better would be to see Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon out there with him at the same time.
