Motorsports TV Schedule for August 3 to 6

NASCAR invades their second road course of the season while the open-wheelers take the weekend off. That’s right, stock cars highlight the motorsports TV schedule.

When the open wheel boys are away, NASCAR will play. The top stock car racers in the country invade the left and right turns again this weekend, highlighting the motorsports TV schedule for the first weekend in August. But there’s plenty more action to report on too.

The top billing for the weekend ahead goes to the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup and Xfinity Series as they race in upstate New York. The scenic views of Watkins Glen will play host to the two top divisions on Saturday and Sunday on NBC Sports. It could lead to a surprise winner on both days.

In other racing series, the NHRA will be back in action on their west coast swing, with racing from the great northwest. Who will take the Wally in Seattle? Meanwhile, the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship will race at Road America in their Road Race Showcase. And finally, the ARCA Racing Series heads to the historic Winchester Speedway.
