It’s time to get your fantasy racing lineups set as the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Michigan International Speedway for second and final race in the Irish Hills this season.

After a race at the road course at Watkins Glen, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to a drastically different track. The series has already visited Michigan International Speedway this season back in June, just eight races ago.

With qualifying results already in the books, now is the perfect time to set your fantasy racing lineup for Sunday. Michigan is a track where choosing drivers who start farther back in the pack can provide some upside to your team’s points total.

But with any race at this point in the season, late-race strategy can have an impact on your fantasy racing team’s point total. That’s an important factor to make note of, just take a look at last week’s race at Watkins Glen.

Kyle Larson is King

Larson ($10,300) has won the last two races at Michigan and also won earlier this year at Auto Club Speedway, which is Michigan’s sister 2.0-mile oval track on the West Coast. Larson is priced high this week and will start the race from 9th position.

More from NASCAR

Larson has struggled this summer since his win at Michigan and hasn’t displayed the speed he once did earlier in the season. Michigan will be the track to see where exactly he stacks up against Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch.

Sticking with Chase

Chase Elliott ($9,800) has finished second at Michigan in all three races at the 2.0-mile D-shaped oval in his career. Elliott will start from 5th and is a threat from that starting position to get out front and lead some laps as he continues to search for his first career victory.

Truex’s Time

Martin Truex Jr. ($10,600) will start from the 13th position and is coming off a win at Watkins Glen. He led 62 laps in the June race at Michigan before finishing 6th and has averaged 56.3 fantasy racing points per race this season. If you can fit Truex in your lineup, then he is worth it this week.

Finishing your roster

Daniel Suarez ($7,800) has finished inside the top 7 in the last four races and will be starting from the 16th position at Michigan. Suarez is reasonably priced this week for the upside that he could bring.

Ty Dillon ($6,600) starts all the way back in in 33rd position at Michigan and finished in the 20th spot there in June. Dillon is a solid fantasy racing pick at a track where he has had success in the Xfinity Series.

Brett Moffitt ($4,700) is back in the Cup Series with BK Racing this week. We aren’t expecting a lot from Moffitt, but he’s starting 35th and has the ability to finish a race inside the top 25 if his equipment holds up.
