Austin Theriault capped off a great weekend of dirt racing with Ken Schrader Racing by winning the ARCA Racing Series event at DuQuoin Speedway.

The annual ARCA Racing Series dirt swing consists of two races across the state fairgrounds, the only time the series goes off the asphalt each year.

The Labor Day classic for ARCA on dirt was back at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on Monday, with 24 drivers vying for dirt supremacy. Austin Theriault took the victory on Labor Day for Ken Schrader Racing, taking advantage of the final restart to steal the win.

Theriault, who continues to dominate the ARCA Racing Series in 2017 and holds the championship lead, took control from Shane Lee on the final restart.

Lee, who led the most laps, got into a bumping and banging battle with Sheldon Creed with two laps to go. Ultimately, Creed would get the better of Lee, coming home 2nd behind Theriault. Lee would slide back to 6th.

The dirt event collected a lot of cars in carnage, especially on the first green-white-checkered finish attempt. The crash included polesitter Will Kimmel, Riley Herbst, Tyler Dippel, Brandon Grosso, and many others. Just 19 cars would make it to the checkered flag on Monday.
