Closing thoughts

Brad Keselowski’s win at Talladega makes him the third different winner through five playoff races thus far, the other two being Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Busch, who have both won two playoff races. Keselowski’s win also makes him the second driver to officially secure himself a spot in the Round of 8, with Truex Jr. being the other since he won in the opening race of the Round of 12 at Charlotte.

The next NASCAR Cup Series race will take place at Kansas Speedway on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 at 3:00 PM ET and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network. It will be the 32nd of 36 races, the sixth of 10 playoff races and the third and final Round of 12 race in the 2017 season.
