Martinsville Prediction #1 – Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin will have big days.

To root against Denny Hamlin, Jimmie Johnson or Kyle Busch this weekend would be a bad idea. All three drivers have won the grandfather clock given to the race winner. Chances are one of them will be adding to the collection this weekend.

Denny Hamlin

All things considered, Denny Hamlin has had some great success at Martinsville in the past. He is a five-time race winner at Martinsville. His most recent win was in March of 2015 and he is due for another celebration in Victory Lane this Sunday.

Kyle Busch

To say nothing of Kyle Busch’s success would be wrong in many ways. He has finished runner-up, 5th place and won in his last three attempts at Martinsville.  He is good every week and hasn’t won in three races, so he is due.

Jimmie Johnson

Lastly, there is Jimmie Johnson. The seven-time champion has won nine races since 2004 at Martinsville. He has been very quiet throughout the first two rounds of the playoffs heading to a track he has been fairly dominant at.

Furthermore, Sunday’s race at Martinsville will see one of these three drivers in victory lane, with the other two closely behind. Either way, expect all three to gain valuable stage points, heavily helping their cause.
