Texas Prediction #2 – Chase Elliott won’t get his revenge this week because he will be too busy in Victory Lane!

Everyone who watched last weekend’s at Martinsville is hoping to see Chase Elliott put Denny Hamlin in the wall. Unless, of course, you’re a Denny Hamlin fan. Even if you are a Hamlin fan, you would have to agree that he probably has it coming to him. The only problem? Chase Elliott will be too busy winning his first career race in the NASCAR Cup Series. This, of course, will not even give him the chance to get to the bumper of Hamlin.

Chase Elliott continues to get better and better each week that goes by. He was sitting pretty last week before being dumped and has a total of four runner-up finishes in 2017. He has been knocking steadily on the Victory Lane door, but has yet to be let in. This is his week. Texas will be the race Elliott will remember as the track where he scored his first Cup win.

Looking back at the recent results, Elliott finished 5th at Texas in April of 2016, 4th in November of 2016 and 9th in April of 2017. For a driver who is continuously improving, Elliott still needs a win. That win will come at Fort Worth this Sunday, giving him his ticket to the Championship 4.
