By Asher Fair
The 2017 Formula One season is officially over, so here are the way-too-early driver power rankings for the 2018 season in preparation for the season starting next March.
With the 20-race 2017 Formula One schedule having been completed, this means that even though we have almost four months until the 2018 Australian Grand Prix, which will kick off the 2018 season in March, it is time to start looking ahead to next year.
As far as drivers go, Lewis Hamilton, who drives for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport, won more races than anybody this past season by far, winning nine of the 20 races that were contested. Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel won five races of his own, the second highest total among drivers.
Other race winners in the 2017 season include Valtteri Bottas, who is Lewis Hamilton’s teammate, as well as Red Bull Racing teammates Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo. Bottas won three races this past season, while Verstappen won two and Ricciardo won one.
Without further ado, here are the way-too-early driver power rankings for the 2018 Formula One season.
