#20 through #17

#20. Marcus Ericsson is set to struggle in the 2018 Formula One season, just like he did this past season. Throughout the entire 2017 season, he didn’t miss a race yet was unable to score even one point. On the positive side, he does have a ride with Sauber for next year, which wasn’t even a sure thing at first.. Sauber. Ferrari. MARCUS ERICSSON

#19. Charles Leclerc, who is set to make his Formula One debut in the 2018 season, has the potential to win championships in the sport one day, especially after winning this past season’s Formula 2 title. However, even Michael Schumacher would struggle to score points in a modern-day Sauber car. Leclerc is almost guaranteed to struggle to do so as well, but it’s still a plus for him that he got this ride.. Sauber. Ferrari. CHARLES LECLERC

Honda. BRENDON HARTLEY. #18. In four races in the 2017 Formula One season, Brendon Hartley finished just twice and secured a career-high finish of just 13th place. While those results are understandable since he had never driven in the sport before, they don’t show much promise for his first full season in the sport, especially since Toro Rosso is switching to Honda engines, which have lacked speed and reliability as of late.. Toro Rosso

#17. Pierre Gasly’s situation is similar to that of his Toro Rosso teammate Brendon Hartley. Prior to last season, Gasly had never driven in Formula One before. In five starts, he recorded five finishes, but he was unable to finish higher than 12th place. While understandable, those results do not show a lot of promise for his first full season in the sport in 2018.. Toro Rosso. Honda. PIERRE GASLY
