NFL: New England Patriots – Bill Belichick

I think many of you could probably predict where I am going to go with this one. Belichick is a five-time Super Bowl champion as a head coach and a two-time champion as a defensive coordinator. Of course, this puts him at seven championships, the same as the #48 Hendrick Motorsports team…

Belichick has had great success at the helm of the Patriots. However, there have been some scandals along the way, also similar to the #48 team. Whether it be the 2007 “Spygate” scandal or the 2015 “Deflategate” scandal, it is no secret that the “grey area” was crossed.

Ironically, NASCAR teams are constantly getting penalized for various crimes. Therefore, Bill Belichick would be the crew chief who spends more time suspended than at the track, but in the end, he brings home the wins.

Most notably, people hate the guys who win. Martin Truex Jr. most recently got a taste of the hatred that follows winning. In the football world, everyone who isn’t a Patriots fan strongly dislikes the team. This fact is what makes Belichick an easy fit into NASCAR. He would come in and immediately start winning and people would dislike him even more than they do now.

Either way you look at it, Belichick is a winner. The similarities between Belichick and Chad Knaus are incredible. Both have the best athlete of their sport winning them championships. It almost makes me wonder if maybe Tom Brady knows how to drive race cars.
