NASCAR: Coaches who would make great crew chiefs
By Dustin Smith
Wrap-up
There are certainly many other coaches who could fit the criteria of being a successful crew chief in NASCAR. I am sure some of the crew chiefs could make great coaches as well. Car owner Joe Gibbs could help his fellow NASCAR brethren gain success if needed.

The ones I feel would have the best success if teams were to trade places for a day would be Joel Quenneville, Bruce Bochy and Bill Belichick. Their ability to win championships and make decisions under pressure would benefit them greatly. There are 13 championships between the three of them, so why not add a NASCAR Cup Series trophy?
Although the likelihood of this happening is, well, none, it is a fun idea to consider. However, if the stars aligned and this were to happen, these are the three coaches who I feel would be in good shape. I could see Quenneville with Chase Elliott, Bochy with Kyle Busch and Belichick with Jimmie Johnson, the driver…not the ex-football coach.
