NASCAR: Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona entry list released

The entry list for the 2018 Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona has officially been released. Of the 20 eligible drivers, 17 are set to participate.
The 2018 Advance Auto Parts Clash, an exhibition race for NASCAR Cup Series drivers at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, ahead of the start of each season, is set to take place this Sunday, February 11th one week before the season begins with the Daytona 500.
The entry list for this race has officially been announced. In all, 20 drivers were eligible to compete in this year’s Clash.
Of those 20 drivers, 17 will actually participate in it, while three will not due to not having full-time rides for the 2018 Cup Series season. All 17 of the competitors have full-time rides for the 2018 season.

Only certain drivers are allowed to compete in the Clash, as it is an invitation-only exhibition race. Drivers earned eligibility for this year’s Clash by accomplishing any one or more of winning at least one pole in the 2017 Cup Series season, having at least one career Daytona 500 pole, or qualifying for the 2017 Cup Series playoffs.
Here is a list of each of the 17 drivers who are set to compete in this year’s Clash and how they earned eligibility to do so. This list is followed by a list of the three drivers who are eligible to compete in this year’s Clash but are not doing so. However, it still lists how they became eligible to compete in it.
