More from Formula One

The first edition of the formulated Formula 1 Driver Power Rankings are identical to the results of the first race, which makes sense given the fact that there are no bonus points awarded to anyone for any reason throughout the race like there are in each of the other three series, which include the NASCAR Cup Series, IndyCar and Formula E, for which a power rankings formula is used to calculate these power rankings.

While this was almost the case for these other three series, in Formula 1, it was a guarantee just by the nature of the formula. How will these rankings change in the future once more races take place and the best average finishes don’t necessarily correlate with the highest point totals?

Next: Top 10 most unbreakable records across Formula One, NASCAR and IndyCar

Be sure to tune in to ESPN2 at 11:10 am ET on Sunday, April 8th to watch the next Formula 1 race, which is the Bahrain Grand Prix at Bahrain International Circuit.
