The eighth race of the 2018 NASCAR Cup Series season is set to take place at Bristol Motor Speedway. Here is the full entry list for that race.
The NASCAR Cup Series is back in action this Sunday following the seventh race of the 36-race 2018 season, which was the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas that took place this past Sunday.
This Sunday’s Cup Series race is the Food City 500, which is set to be held at the four-turn, 0.533-mile Bristol Motor Speedway oval in Bristol, Tennessee. The race is scheduled to last for 500 laps, or 266.5 miles.
Each of the last five races at Bristol, both the April races and the August races, have lasted their scheduled distance and not gone into overtime. The last time a Bristol race went into overtime was in April of 2015 when Matt Kenseth won the 511-lap (272-mile) race.
